#1 Clears
Clear Lumber is free of knots and blemishes. It is used for high quality joinery, furniture and mouldings.
Suitable for:
– mouldings
– furniture
– or where clear, long lengths are required.
Upper: Front face clear. Lower: Back face may have some defects.
#2 Clears
Clear Lumber is free of knots and blemishes. It is used for high quality joinery, furniture and mouldings.
Suitable for: where one clear face and two clear edges are required.
Upper: Front face clear. Lower: Back face may have some defects.
Clear Finger Jointed
Suitable for usage where timber is to be painted. e.g. sills, fascia, windows, or selected use where a clear finish is required.
Dressing Grade
A tight knot grade for use in furniture, paneling, and high quality exterior use.
No 1A Cuttings Grade
Each piece shall yield one 1.8 metre clear cutting, with balance of cuttings averaging 1.0 metre. Minimum of 70% recovery of clear cuttings.
No. 1 Cuttings Grade
Each piece shall yield 70% of its length in clear cuttings 1.0 metre and over.
No. 2 Cuttings Grade
Each piece shall yield 70% of its length in clear cuttings 0.600 metres and over.
No. 3 Cuttings Grade
Each piece shall yield 60% of its length in clear cuttings of 0.300 metres and over.
Pith Free Pruned Cut of Log Grade
This is a new innovative grade especially suited to manufactorers who are changing from high grade hardwoods to pine. The grade contains approximately:
30% clears
20% #2 clears
10% #1 cuttings
20% #2 cuttings
20% #3 cuttings
C.O.L
This furniture grade is a combination of:
10% #1 cuts
40% #2 cuts
50% #3 cuts
This will yield clear cuttings 300mm to 3m clears.
Merch Grade
A general utility grade. Economically used for workshop and warehouse shelving, framing for upholstery furniture and fence palings.
